Our office is located in Mandi Number 1, right on Western Circular Road in Abohar. If you know the area, you know it’s a busy spot, especially during the harvest seasons when the mandi is full of activity. We’ve been operating from this part of Firozpur for some time now. Dealing with overseas business from a place like Abohar has its own challenges, but we make it work. The office is usually a bit chaotic with people coming in and out to discuss logistics or check on prices. We have a couple of ceiling fans that work overtime in the summer months. There is always a pot of tea going somewhere in the back. We don't have any formal receptionists or fancy waiting rooms. You usually just walk in and find one of us sitting at a wooden desk covered in files and stamps. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and trying to figure out the best way to move goods across the border. It’s a lot of coordination and sometimes things don’t go according to plan, like when a truck gets delayed. We just take it as it comes. It is a very hands-on type of business. We’ve grown to know the local market quite well and we just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s an honest way to make a living here in Punjab.
