We’ve been set up here near the railway crossing on G.T. Road for quite a bit now. If you’ve ever been stuck waiting for the train to pass, you’ve probably seen our sign or smelled the work we’re doing inside. It gets pretty hot in here with the melting processes we run, and honestly, the noise from the trains just becomes background noise after a few weeks on the job. We mostly deal with metal stuff and getting things melted down to whatever shape is needed next. It’s dirty work but someone has to do it. The guys on the floor know their way around the furnace better than they know their own kitchens. We don’t have a fancy office or anything like that. Just some desks in the front and the main workshop in the back where everything actually happens. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in everything, but that’s just life on G.T. Road. We usually start early before the sun gets too high because once the heat from the machines mixes with the afternoon sun, it’s a lot to handle. We just focus on getting the orders out to the people who need them. Most of our tools have been around as long as the building has. We fix things when they break and keep moving. If you’re looking for us, just look for the gate right by the tracks. We’re usually there until late in the evening every single day.
