Dall Kirana Store

Out here in Village Kerakhera, things move a bit slower than in the city. Our store is right near the Laksminarayan Mandir, so it’s pretty easy to find if you are around. We are Dall Kirana Store. It’s basically where the locals get their daily stuff for the kitchen. We’ve been in the Fazilka district for a long time. It’s a family-run kind of thing. We open early in the morning because that's when people are out and about. We stock what people need—lentils, flour, spices, and that sort of thing. It’s not a huge supermarket, just a regular village shop with wooden shelves and sacks of grain. We know most of our customers by name since they live just down the road or in the next lane. Sometimes we sit and chat for a bit while they shop for their groceries. The temple nearby brings a lot of people around, especially on festival days when things get quite busy. We try to keep the shelves full, but sometimes things run out and we have to wait for the next delivery truck. It’s just how it goes here. We don't have a website or anything like that. If you need something, you just walk in. We spend our days sorting through stock and making sure everything is okay. It’s honest work. We don’t think much about being modern. We just want to make sure the folks in Kerakhera have what they need.
