Zakara Shopping Mart Private Limited

We are located in Mohiuddinpur, specifically in the Fatehpur Mandav area. Zakara Shopping Mart is basically run out of Kanhaiya Yadav’s place. It’s a very local operation, and there is nothing fancy about it at all. We started this whole thing because there simply wasn't a good spot nearby for people to get everything they needed in one single trip. We carry a bit of everything, ranging from soap and toothpaste to various grains and pulses. The building itself is simple and we keep the main doors open for most of the day to let the air in. It gets quite hot in the summer months, so we usually have a few old fans going to keep things moving. People from the village come by to chat with us just as much as they do to actually shop. We know exactly who likes which brand of tea or which snacks the kids prefer. Sometimes the delivery truck can't even make it down the road if it's been raining hard for a few days, so we just have to wait it out. We don't have a website or any fancy social media pages. We just focus on the items on our shelves and the customers standing right in front of us. It’s a relatively quiet life here in Mandav, but the shop definitely keeps us on our feet. We handle all the accounts ourselves at the end of every night. It is hard work, especially when we have to move heavy sacks of flour by hand, but it's good to be part of the community here.
