Uaa Hotels Private Limited operates out of Hotel Udai Vilas Palace. We are situated right on NH-11 along the Fatehpur Sikri Road. Being on the highway means we see a lot of travelers passing through. The dust from the road is something we constantly have to fight with. You sweep the porch, and ten minutes later, a truck goes by and there’s a thin layer of sand again. It’s just how life is on the NH-11. We have a routine here that starts pretty early. Most of us live nearby, so we walk or ride bikes into work. The hotel is a decent size, but it feels smaller when we’re all working. We don't have any fancy corporate headquarters. Everything happens right here in the building. Sometimes the internet is slow because we’re a bit out of the main city, so we have to do things the old-fashioned way with paper receipts. It’s a lot of manual labor. Carrying bags, checking the laundry, making sure the kitchen has enough supplies for the day. We don’t promise anything grand, we just provide a place for people to stop. The Fatehpur Sikri Road stays busy at night too. You can hear the engines from the rooms sometimes. We’ve grown used to the noise. It’s a practical business. We’re just here to keep the lights on and the rooms ready for whoever pulls off the road next in this part of the country.
