Tube Bricks Field

Tube Bricks Field is located in Khaga, near the bus stop. It is a very busy area with people coming and going all the time. Being near the bus stop means there is always a lot of noise and activity, but it makes us very easy to find. We have been at this location for a good while. The field is where we do all the heavy work. It’s not a polished operation. We have the kilns and the drying areas spread out over the land. Usually, the workers are busy from dawn till dusk. We don't use much technology, mostly just traditional methods that we have learned over time. Khaga is a growing place, and we see more people looking to build every year. We don't put out ads in the papers or anything. People see us when they are waiting for the bus or driving into town. We keep it simple. If you need bricks, you come talk to us, we agree on a price, and we load them up. It’s a very manual process and can be quite exhausting during the peak season. But it is what we do to make a living. We have a small shed for shade where we sit and drink water during the breaks. It’s just us, the red earth, and the stacks of bricks. The bus stop is always crowded, so there is no shortage of people seeing what we are doing. We just try to stay out of the way of the commuters.
