Mk Marble & Building Material

Our place is out on Baswa Road, right in Fatehpur Shekhawati over in Sikar district. It is not hard to find us because we are quite close to the Dharul Uloom Sultan Matersa. At Mk Marble & Building Material, things are usually a bit chaotic with trucks coming in and out all day long. Handling marble is heavy work and we spend most of our time just moving slabs around or checking what we have left in the yard. The dust from the stone gets everywhere, on our clothes and in the small office area we have. It’s a local business through and through, nothing very fancy or polished about how we run things here. Sometimes we sit out front when the weather is okay and talk to the people passing by. People in this part of Sikar are mostly building houses or fixing up old shops, so they stop in to see what kind of materials we have in stock. The road gets busy during the middle of the day, especially near the Matersa, so we try to get the heavy loading done early if we can. It’s just me and a couple of others keeping the place going. We don don’t do much advertising, mostly just people knowing us from being around for a while. It’s hard work, especially in the heat, but that is just how it is in this line of business.
