Kaviraj Foundation

Kaviraj Foundation is based in Acharyon ka Mohalla, right here in Fatehpur. We work out of Sundar Lal’s place, which is where we do all our planning and meetings. It’s a traditional part of town, and we like the history of the neighborhood. We started this because we wanted to have a way to help out our neighbors in a more organized fashion. It isn't a big operation by any means. Usually, it’s just two or three of us sitting around a table, drinking tea and talking about what needs to be done next. We don't have a website or a marketing department. If you want to know what we are up to, you usually just have to stop by and ask. The paperwork can be a real headache, especially with all the rules these days, but we manage to stay on top of it most of the time. We aren't polished or corporate. We speak the same way we always have, and we don't try to impress anyone with big titles or long speeches. Fatehpur is where we were born and raised, so we care about what happens here. Sometimes the days are long and we don't feel like we’ve accomplished much, but then something small goes right and it feels worth it. It’s just us, doing what we can with what we have, day in and day out, without any fancy airs.
