If you’re traveling along the GT Road, you’ll see our shop near the Vivek Lodge. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there’s always a layer of dust on everything, no matter how much we clean. We get a lot of people stopping by who are staying at the lodge or just passing through the area. Being on such a major road means the noise of trucks and horns is constant, but you stop noticing it after a while. We sell a variety of items, mostly things that local builders or transporters might need in a hurry. The shop is a bit dark inside, and the shelves are quite tall, so I usually have to use the old ladder to reach the top rows. We don’t have a computer system that tracks every single thing perfectly; we mostly rely on knowing where everything is kept. Morning is our favorite time because it’s a bit cooler and we can sit out front for a few minutes before the heavy traffic starts. We’ve seen the road change a lot over the years, with new buildings going up and more cars every day. We’ve kept our place pretty much the same though. It’s a simple setup where we focus on being available when people need a specific part or a few bags of supplies. We just keep doing what we do every day without much fuss, watching the traffic go by.
