You can find us at 188/182 Katra Abdul Gali in Fatehpur. It is one of those narrow, busy streets where you have to watch your step because of the scooters and the people moving about. Our office is right in the thick of it. It’s not a large space, but it’s enough for what we need to do. We spend our days managing the mutual benefits for the people around here. It’s a very local thing, really. We know most of the folks who walk through our door because we see them at the market or around the neighborhood every day. We don't use big, complicated words when we talk about money. We just explain things simply, the way we would to a friend. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a bit of a rattling noise, but it keeps the air moving. We keep all our records in big ledgers and we’re very careful with the pen work. There’s no rush here. We take the time to listen to whatever is on people’s minds while we process their deposits or look over their papers. It’s just a small group of us working in Fatehpur, trying to make sure the community has a place they can go without feeling out of place. It’s honest, plain work and we’re happy to be doing it right here in the Gali. It gets dark early in the lane so we usually wrap up by sunset.
