Shri Farangi Ram Rice Mill

Out here at Shri Farangi Ram Rice Mill, we stay busy with the daily chores. We are located in Village Niwal. This is right on the By Pass Road near Patran. The road outside sees a lot of heavy trucks and lorries passing through all day long. We have grown quite used to the constant sound of the traffic by now. The mill itself is an older building, but it does the job just fine for what we need to do. We spend most of our hours checking the moisture levels and making sure the driers are working properly. Patran is a very good area for this type of business. Village Niwal is a small place, so we recognize most of the people who pass by our gates. We do not have a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. We just have one small room with a simple desk and a few old chairs for guests. Most of our day is spent out on the main floor. The dust is a battle that we never really win. We sweep it up, but it always comes back within a few minutes. That is just how it goes when you work at a rice mill. We started out small and have just kept working. The By Pass Road makes it very easy for the local farmers to bring their grain directly to us. We do not have any speeches about what we do. It is just life.
