Shakti Iron Store

We’ve been here at the Main Chowk on G.T. Road in Fatehgarh Sahib for a while now. Running Shakti Iron Store takes up most of our days, but we like it. The shop is right where the traffic picks up, so it's easy to find if you're driving through. Most people just stop by because they need a few things for their construction or some repairs at home. We stock a lot of iron products, mostly the heavy stuff people need for building. It’s a dusty job, and the yard gets messy when the trucks come in, but that’s just how it goes with metal. Sometimes it's quiet, and other times everyone shows up at once wanting something specific. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the stacks are organized enough so we can find what a customer is looking for. Dealing with iron isn't fancy. You get your hands dirty every single day. My family helps out, and we’ve gotten to know the regular builders around here. We don't have a big fancy office or anything, just the counter and the warehouse space. If you are around G.T. Road and need some iron bars or sheets, you’ll see our sign right by the main crossing. We keep the gates open early so people can get their supplies before the sun gets too hot. It’s just a normal local business, nothing too complicated about it.
