We started Sahib Land Developers And Constructors L out here in Bassi Pathana because this area is really changing lately. It isn't a big fancy office or anything, just a spot in Chunni Kalan where we can handle our business and talk to folks about land and building stuff. Most of our days are spent out on the sites or checking the maps for new patches of land around the tehsil. The office gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up off the main road, but that is just how it is in this part of Punjab. We have been doing this for a while now, mostly focusing on construction work and trying to get things lined up right for people who want to settle here. It’s hard work and the sun gets pretty hot during the summer months. You can usually find someone here during the day unless we are all out at a site somewhere near the village. We handle a lot of different things related to land, from the initial planning to actually getting the bricks laid. It is a small team and we know most of the neighbors around the Chunni Kalan area. People just drop by when they see the door open. We don’t have a big reception desk or anything, just some chairs and a table where we look at the papers. It works for us and the people we deal with.
