Pain Relief Clinic

Pritam Niwas is where we have our clinic. It is a simple building and we use a few rooms on the ground floor for our work. We have been here for a very long time and the building has a lot of history for us. There is a small gate and a bit of a yard in the front where we try to keep some plants, though they don't always survive the heat. The waiting area is just a few plastic chairs in the main room. It is usually quite peaceful here compared to the main roads. People come to us when they are struggling with physical pain and we just do what we can to help them out. We don't have any big machines or high-tech stuff, just the basic tools and our own hands. The walls are painted a simple white and we have some old wooden furniture that has been with us since the start. Sometimes the roof has a small leak when the monsoon rains are really heavy, but we just manage it with a bucket. We don't spend any money on advertising or anything like that because most people find us by talking to their neighbors. It is a very local kind of place. We open up early in the morning and stay until we have seen everyone who needs help. It is a slow way of working but it feels right to us.
