We are situated out on Handesra Road in the village of Malakpur, which is part of the Dera Bassi taluka. It’s a bit of a trek out here, near Lalru Mandi and just off the Ambala Chandigarh Highway. You can hear the big trucks roaring by on the highway if the wind is blowing the right way. Our workshop is in a spot that feels half-industrial and half-rural. We do a lot of engineering work that serves the local area and the industries that have popped up along the road. The building itself is nothing special, just a sturdy place to keep our equipment and stay out of the rain. We get a lot of dust from the road, so we’re always wiping down our benches. The team here is made up of local guys who know the area well. We don't have a fancy lobby or a glossy brochure to hand out. If you come by, you’ll probably find us mid-job, covered in a bit of grease. We spend a lot of time talking to customers who stop in on their way to or from the mandi. It’s a practical business, and we try to keep our overheads low so we can stay busy. Dera Bassi has been growing, and we’ve seen a lot of changes, but our little shop in Malakpur stays pretty much the same. We just keep working through our list of jobs and taking things one day at a time.
