We are based up in Punjab at the Khalsa Heritage Complex in Anandpur Sahib. This is a pretty significant spot in the Ropar district, and being located right here at the complex means we are always in the middle of the activity. Our work involves the construction and maintenance details that come with such a large site. The office is not very big, but it serves as the main point for our staff to meet up and plan out the daily chores. Anandpur Sahib is a quiet town most of the year, but it gets very busy during the festivals, which sometimes makes it tricky to get our trucks through the streets. We have been working at this location for quite a while, focusing on the ECC division tasks assigned to us. The people working here are mostly locals or folks who have moved to Ropar for the job. We spend a lot of time walking around the site to make sure everything is being handled correctly. It is a different kind of vibe than a city office because of the history of the complex and the surrounding hills. We usually start early in the morning to beat the heat and get a head start on the paperwork. It is a steady job, and we just try to do our bit every day without much fuss. The winters here get quite cold, so we usually have some heaters running in the office space while we work.
