We have been working out of the Embassy Centre at Nariman Point for a while now. Our office space is split between 701 and 712A. If you know Mumbai, you know how Nariman Point gets during the day. It is always crowded with people rushing to work and the sound of cars everywhere. We spend most of our time at these desks, dealing with paperwork and taking phone calls that never seem to stop. Sometimes the elevators in the building take forever, so we end up waiting in the lobby talking to the other folks who work in the complex. It is not a fancy setup, just a lot of files, some old computers, and tea cups that need washing. We started here because it was central, and we just stayed. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but nobody really has the time to move things around. Most of us have been coming to this same spot for years. We know the chai wallah downstairs by name and he knows exactly how we like our tea in the afternoon. It is just a regular office where we get through the daily tasks. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and see everyone at their desks. It’s a bit cramped with all the ledgers, but it works for us and we know where everything is kept.
