Aar Kay Associates

I've been coming down to Focal Point at D-40 for quite a while now. This place, Aar Kay Associates, it's just what we do every day. Sometimes the mornings are a bit slow when the tea guy is late, but usually, we get right into it. The shop floor is always buzzing with something or other. We’ve got a few old machines that need a bit of a kick sometimes, but they still get the job done. It’s not fancy here. There’s dust on the shelves and the fan in the corner makes a clicking noise that you eventually stop hearing. We mostly handle things as they come. People walk in looking for parts or some advice on a project, and we try to sort them out without making a big fuss. It’s hard work, especially when the summer heat hits the roof. We just keep our heads down and finish the orders. Sometimes the trucks block the entrance for a bit, but that’s just life in Focal Point. It’s a good spot to be in, close to everything else. We aren't trying to change the world, just making sure the work is finished by evening so we can head home. It feels like a second home really, considering how much time we spend within these four walls. We know the neighbors and they know us. That's how it goes around here on most days of the week.
