Ganesh Vilas Rice Mill

Out here in Village Rayya, things usually move a bit slower, except during the harvest time. That is when Ganesh Vilas Rice Mill really gets going. We are based in Tehsil Baba Bakala, and most of the farmers around here bring their grain to us. The mill has been part of the village landscape for a long time. You can hear the engines humming from down the road most mornings. It is a lot of heavy lifting and moving big sacks around, but we do not mind the hard work. We grew up around these fields, so we know the local crops pretty well and what the farmers expect. The dust gets everywhere when we are processing, so we spend a lot of time sweeping up the floor. It is a simple setup, nothing fancy about it. We have a few rooms for storage and the main milling area where the equipment sits. During the off-season, we spend our time doing maintenance and making sure the parts are oiled and ready for the next crop. Sometimes neighbors stop by just to chat or check on their orders while they are passing through. We are not trying to be the biggest mill in the region; we just want to do a decent job for the people in Rayya. It is a family-oriented place where everyone knows each other. Working with rice is what we know best. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the bags are filled and ready.
