Silk Oriental Restaurant

Silk Oriental Restaurant is actually located inside Ews Ridge Wood Estate, specifically at Flat No 428 in DLF Phase-4, Gurgaon. It might seem a little unusual to have a restaurant setup in a residential estate flat, but it works for us. We spend most of our time in the kitchen dealing with ingredients and making sure the orders are going out on time. Gurgaon is a fast place and people are always in a rush, so we stay pretty busy. The kitchen is the main focus here. It gets hot and loud when we have several things cooking at once. We don't have a big fancy dining room with waiters in suits. It’s more about the food and getting it right for the people who live around here in Phase-4. We deal with the delivery guys coming in and out and the constant sound of the stove. Sometimes things get a bit cramped in the flat, but we have a system that works. We buy our vegetables and meats fresh and we try not to overcomplicate the recipes. It’s just about making something that tastes good and fills you up. We have been in Ridge Wood for a while now and the neighbors are used to the smells of cooking coming from our direction. It’s a small, family-style operation and we just take it one order at a time, making sure we don't mix up the spices or the addresses.
