If you’re driving down the Tohana-Chandigarh Road in Haryana, you’ll find us near the Hisar crossing. It’s a busy spot with lots of trucks and buses moving through. Rajasthan Medical Center is right there on the edge of the action. It can get pretty dusty with all the traffic, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the counters and the chairs. The building itself is quite simple, just a few rooms where we see patients. Most of the people who come here are from the surrounding farms or travelers who need a doctor while they’re on the road. We stay open pretty late because you never know when someone might need help. The light outside is really bright in the afternoons, so we keep the shutters halfway down. Our team is small, just a few of us who have lived in Haryana our whole lives. We talk about the crops and the weather as much as we talk about health. It’s a practical kind of place. There’s no fancy waiting lounge, just some benches and a water cooler that gets a lot of use. Sometimes the electricity cuts out and we have to use the lanterns, but that’s just how it goes here. We don’t make a big deal out of things, we just do the work that needs doing every day. It's a humble spot but it serves the people well.
