About Silk Paradise – Fashion & Trends in Farrukhabad
We are over at 2/44 Naya Kotha in the Parcha area. It’s an old part of the city, and the streets are quite narrow, so don't try to bring a big car right to the door. Most people just walk or use a bike to get here. The building is quite old and has that specific smell of old stone and wood that you find in this neighborhood. We’ve been using this space for a long time. It’s mostly just a few rooms filled with our inventory and some old wooden tables we use for packing up orders. There isn't much in the way of decoration. We have a small calendar on the wall and a clock that’s always a few minutes fast. The area is usually busy with people going about their business, and you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood coming through the windows all day. We start our day early with a cup of tea and then get into the work of checking through the boxes. It’s a very hands-on job. We don't use much technology besides a basic phone and a ledger for keeping track of things. It works for us. Parcha is a place where everyone knows everyone, so we often have people dropping in just to say hello or have a quick chat about their day. It’s a simple, honest way to run things. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't; we just do our work and go home to our families when the day is finished.
