Our setup is located at Fattehpur Isanagar, specifically at Dinesh Kumar’s place. It’s a small operation, really. We don’t have one of those big glass buildings you see in the city. Instead, it’s just a practical space where we handle the impex work. Most of the time, the air is thick with the smell of the nearby fields, and the roads can be a bit of a mess after it rains. We spend a lot of time on our phones and computers, trying to track where things are and who needs what next. It’s not a very glamorous way to make a living, but it keeps us busy. We mostly deal with the logistics and the back-and-forth of moving goods. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit around and talk until it comes back on. It’s a very local feel here. Everyone knows everyone else, so you can’t really get away with much. We just focus on getting the tasks finished one by one. There’s no secret to what we do. It’s just a lot of checking lists and making sure the boxes get where they’re supposed to go. We’ve been in this area for a bit and we’ve seen things change, but our daily routine stays pretty much the same. We wake up, drink our tea, and start looking at the shipping schedules. It’s a decent life if you don’t mind the occasional headache from the logistics side of things.
