Ajanta Embroidery And Prints

You can find us over at 2/147 on Nakhas Street. If you’ve ever walked down this street, you know how it is—packed with shops and people everywhere. Our space is filled with the sound of sewing machines and the smell of fresh ink. We do a lot of embroidery work and printing on fabrics. There are rolls of cloth stacked up in the corners and thread of every color you can think of hanging on the walls. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s just how it goes when you’re working with textiles all day. We have local workers who are really good with their hands, sitting at the machines for hours making sure the patterns look right. It’s a lot of fine detail work that can really tire your eyes out after a while. We get customers from the neighborhood and some from further away who want specific designs done. We don't have a big front desk or anyone in a suit waiting to greet you. Usually, you’ll just see someone hunched over a piece of fabric or checking a screen for a print job. We’ve been in this spot for years and the neighbors all know us. It is just a simple shop doing what we know how to do, day in and day out, trying to stay ahead of the orders that pile up. The street noise outside is just part of the background here.
