Raghavendra Cotton Corporation

We have been running Raghavendra Cotton Corporation for a while now. You can find us out at Sy No 182 in Chilkamarry Village. It is a quiet spot most of the year until the cotton starts coming in from the nearby farms. We spend most of our mornings checking the loads that arrive on the tractor trolleys. The yard gets pretty dusty when the wind picks up, but that is just part of the job here. We have the ginning machines set up in the main shed and they make quite a bit of noise once they get going. People around the village know where we are because of the big gates. It is mostly just a few of us working here every day, making sure the bales are packed right and stacked where they belong. We do not have a fancy office or anything like that, just a small desk where we keep the books and handle the paperwork for the farmers. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit and wait, but usually, we are busy from sunup. It is hard work and your clothes always end up covered in white lint by the end of the shift. We just try to get through the inventory and keep things moving so the trucks can get back on the road. It is a simple setup but it works for what we do here in Chilkamarry and it keeps us busy enough throughout the season.
