Our warehouse is in Bhatia Colony over in Ballabhgarh. It’s a dusty area with a lot of trucks moving in and out all day. We deal with trading various goods and supplies. The space is mostly filled with crates and big bags stacked up to the ceiling. We spend a lot of time checking lists and making sure the counts are right. It’s not a glamorous job. We get to work early when the air is still a bit cool. Most of the time, someone is loading a vehicle or unloading a shipment that just arrived. We have a small desk in the corner where we keep the ledger and the phone. It rings quite a bit. The neighbors in Bhatia Colony are all doing similar things, so there’s always noise from shutters opening and closing. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls. It’s just bricks and concrete. We try to keep things moving so nothing sits for too long. Sometimes the rain makes the road messy and things slow down. We just deal with it. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so we all pitch in where needed. We’ve been in Ballabhgarh for a long time. It’s a simple business. We buy things, we store them, and then we send them out again. That’s the whole story. We keep a couple of chairs out front for when the drivers need a break.
