Our place is at House Number 482 on Street Number 8 in Vinay Nagar. It’s part of the Agawanpur Extension in Faridabad. It’s a very residential neighborhood, so you’ll see kids playing and neighbors chatting outside while you walk to our door. We operate as a mutual benefit Nidhi, which is really just a way for people in the community to help each other out with savings and small financial needs. The office is small and tucked away, which suits us just fine. We don't need a big storefront on a main road to do our job. Most of our members are people who live right here in Vinay Nagar. They stop by after work or while they're out getting groceries. We keep a close eye on the books and make sure everything is handled properly. It’s a lot of manual work, checking names and amounts. The office has a homely feel to it since it's located in a house. We have a couple of desks and some chairs for visitors. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find people in suits every day. We dress casually and talk to people like they're our neighbors, because they are. We’ve seen the extension grow over the years, more houses being built and more families moving in. We’re just here to provide a simple way for everyone to manage their bits of savings together. It is quiet but very steady work.
