If you find yourself in Sector 8 of Faridabad, look for House No 353. That’s where we run things for Vardhman Special Steels. It’s a regular house in a regular neighborhood, which surprises some people. We’ve been here in Haryana for quite a while now. The street is usually pretty calm, though you get the occasional delivery truck coming through. We handle the steel business from this location. It’s not a big industrial complex, just a practical space where we can get our work done. There are a few of us here every day, sitting at our desks and making sure the orders for the special steels are moving. We don’t have any marketing people or big corporate slogans. We just have our names and the address. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that right now.
