Tops Exports

Tops Exports is over at 1941, Sector-9. It’s a simple brick and mortar setup. The building has been here for years, and we’ve occupied this unit for a good chunk of that time. When you walk in, you’ll see stacks of boxes waiting to go out. We do a lot of packing and labeling right here on the main floor. The office is really just a desk tucked into the corner where the ledger stays. It’s a bit chilly in the winter months because the high ceilings hold the cold, but we just wear our sweaters and keep moving. We don't use any fancy software for everything; a lot of our notes are still hand-written in big registers. It’s easier that way sometimes. The guys who load the trucks are usually joking around in the driveway. We’ve got a small radio that plays the local station all day long, providing some background noise while we work. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, apart from the occasional delivery truck backing in. We don't spend a lot of time on our website or anything like that. Most people who know us just show up or call the landline. It’s a very manual process from start to finish. We take care of the items, wrap them up well, and make sure the labels are stuck on straight. That’s about as complex as it gets here. There's a leaky tap in the bathroom that we've been meaning to call someone about, but we keep forgetting.
