Starvesh Kirana Store

Starvesh Kirana Store is sitting right at Shop No 9 in Rajiv Nagar, which is part of Sector 18 in Faridabad. We are quite close to Valmiky Park, so you might see people walking their dogs or kids playing nearby. The shop is small and we keep it filled with everything from snacks to cleaning supplies. It gets pretty dusty in this part of town, so cleaning the front counter is a constant job. My brother and I take turns being here. We don't have a big team or a corporate office. It is just the two of us handling the stocks and the cash. Sometimes the light goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit there until the power comes back. People come in mostly for the small things they forgot to buy at the bigger markets. We have a wooden table where we weigh out some of the loose items. The neighborhood is mostly families, so we see the same people every week. We don't spend money on advertising or anything like that because everyone around here already knows where we are. It’s a practical business. We buy things from the wholesalers and put them on the shelves. There isn't much more to it than that. We just try to keep the stuff people actually use in their kitchens. It’s a regular life for us here in Sector 18 and we don't complain about the long hours. We usually close up around nine.
