S.R. Stone Crushing Co.

S.R. Stone Crushing Co. is located out in Village Dhouj. We’re at Plot No. 10 in the crushing zone. It’s a noisy place to be, that’s for sure. If you spend any time here, you’ll end up with dust on your shoes and clothes. That’s just part of the stone crushing business. We have these big machines that run most of the day, breaking down rocks into smaller sizes. It takes a lot of maintenance to keep everything running smoothly. Sometimes a belt breaks or a motor gets stuck, and then everyone has to scramble to fix it so we don't fall behind. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the summer, so we drink a lot of water and try to stay in the shade when we can. We deal with truck drivers all day long. They come in to load up and take the stones to construction sites. We have a small office on the plot where we keep the books and handle the paperwork. It’s simple, just a few chairs and a desk. We don’t do any fancy marketing or anything like that. People know where we are if they need crushed stone. It’s hard, physical work, and at the end of the day, everyone is pretty tired. We just focus on keeping the machines going and making sure the piles of stone are the right size. It's honest work. We don't have a big corporate team, just local guys who know how the machinery works and how to handle the heavy lifting day in and day out.
