If you ever find yourself driving down Mathura Road near the Northern India Complex, you’ve probably passed right by us at Plot No. 1-G. This place is all about the materials we work with. There’s a specific smell to the fiber work we do—it’s not bad, just very distinct, and it sticks to your clothes by the end of the day. The shop floor is usually covered in bits of offcuts and dust, no matter how much we try to sweep it up in the mornings. It’s a loud place because the machines are always running at 20/3, and you have to shout a bit if you want to be heard over the grinding and cutting. We aren't big on formalities here; most of us have been working together for years and we just know what the other person is thinking. Mathura Road is always packed with those big lorries, and sometimes the vibration from the traffic feels like it’s coming right through the floorboards. We keep our tools lined up on the walls, though they never stay organized for long once the real work starts. It’s a practical space designed for making things, not for sitting around and looking pretty. We get a lot of local guys dropping in to check on their orders, and we usually end up talking shop over a glass of tea from the stall around the corner. It’s just an honest day's labor for us at this udyog.
