Down here in Ghaziabad, at R-14/62 Rajnagar, we operate the local office for Shapoorji Pallonji & Company Ltd. Rajnagar is a well-known area, so it makes sense for us to be located here for our work in Uttar Pradesh. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place for us to keep our records straight and talk to the subcontractors. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the usual challenges of building things in a growing city. Traffic can be a mess sometimes, but we manage to get the materials where they need to go. There are a few of us who work here daily, mostly checking on site reports and making sure the supplies are ordered. It gets busy during the morning hours when everyone is checking in. We have been in this spot for a bit, and people in the area know us as the construction people. It’s not about having a polished image for us. We just need a desk, a phone, and a place to store the blueprints. The walls are covered with schedules and old maps of the local sites. It’s practical work. We deal with the weather and the local regulations as they come. Sometimes things go slow, sometimes fast, that’s just how the building trade works in this part of the country. We just keep our heads down and finish the jobs. It’s mostly about managing the dust and the deadlines here.
