Out here at Plot-e368 in Sgm Nagar, things move at their own pace. We are near Sector 48, right in the Badkhal Nit area of Faridabad. Shoes Manufacturer Neemkaa is basically a workshop where the actual making happens. You can hear the sounds of the tools and the machines from the street sometimes. It’s a busy part of Faridabad, and our plot is tucked in among a lot of other small businesses. The air is often thick with the smell of leather and glue, which is something you just get used to after a week or two. We don't have a fancy showroom here. Most of the space is taken up by workbenches and raw materials. It’s a hands-on kind of place. Some of us have been working in Sgm Nagar for years, and we know the shortcuts through the narrow lanes nearby. When it rains, the area can get a bit muddy, but we keep the inside as tidy as possible so the shoes don't get ruined. We aren't a big corporation with a lot of rules. We just come in, do the manufacturing work, and make sure the shipments are packed up for the trucks.
