Sarvodaya Hospital

We've been here at Sarvodaya Hospital in Sec-19 for a good while now. Most people around Opi Colony know where we are. It’s not a fancy place with gold-plated doors, just a regular building where we try to get the work done. The mornings usually start pretty early with people already waiting by the time the sun is fully up. Our staff mostly live nearby, so they walk or take a quick rickshaw to get here. We deal with all sorts of things, from small scrapes to stuff that's much more serious. Sometimes the waiting area gets crowded and the noise from the old colony outside drifts in, but that’s just how it is. We have a few wards and the doctors are usually running from one room to another. It’s a busy life. We don’t spend much time on decorations. The focus stays on the patients and making sure they have a bed and some care. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desk, and the tea gets cold because someone needed help right then. That's fine. We know the neighbors by name after all these years. It feels like a part of the community here in Sec-19. We just keep the lights on and do what needs to be done every day. It’s a job that never really stops, even on Sundays or holidays when the rest of the street is quiet.
