Sangeet Vidyalaya Nritya Kala Kendra

We are over in Faridabad at N I T 1C/31-A. Sangeet Vidyalaya Nritya Kala Kendra has been in this spot for a good while. It’s a straightforward setup. We have rooms for music and rooms for dance, though sometimes the sounds bleed into each other, which can be a bit confusing for the students. We don’t mind it much, though. It’s a busy place, especially in the evenings when the school kids finish their homework and head over here. We don’t have a big mission statement or any of that corporate talk. We just teach what we were taught. The building is an older one, and it has its quirks, like the light switch that only works if you toggle it twice, but it serves its purpose. We keep the instruments as clean as we can and try to keep the floors swept for the dancers. It’s a lot of hard work, and we don’t always get everything right, but we’re here every day regardless. Most of the people who come here are from around the N I T area. They like that we’re just a local business and not some big chain. We don’t make things more complicated than they need to be. You come in, you practice, and you go home. That’s pretty much how it works here. We are just a bunch of people who really like the arts.
