Samotech Electrical

Samotech Electrical is right in the middle of the N I T Main Market in Faridabad. We take up units 83 and 84. If you know the market, you know how loud and crowded it gets. There’s always someone shouting, horns honking, and people looking for parts. We’ve been here for years, surrounded by all sorts of other shops. Our place is usually filled with boxes of wires, switches, and all kinds of electrical bits. It’s not very tidy, but we know where everything is. Mostly. If you ask for a specific fuse, one of us can usually dig it out from a shelf in the back. The lighting in the shop isn't great, which is ironic for an electrical place, but we’re too busy to fix it. We get all kinds of customers, from people fixing a lamp at home to contractors working on big buildings. We just stand behind the counter and help whoever walks in. The floor is concrete and a bit cracked. We don't have a website that works properly, so most people just come in or call the landline. It’s a local way of doing things. We take a break when the market gets a bit quieter in the afternoon. Usually, we just sit on some crates and have a drink. It’s a tough way to make a living sometimes with all the competition nearby, but we like being part of the N I T community. It’s home.
