Our office is located at House No. 40 in Jain Colony. If you know where Akash Cinema is in Faridabad, we’re just a short walk from there. It’s a residential area mostly, so it feels quiet compared to the main roads. We run a chit fund, which basically means we help neighbors and local workers save together. It's a simple system that has worked for a long time around here. The office is really just a room set up to handle the collections and the monthly draws. On the days we have the auctions, it gets a bit crowded with people standing around, checking their papers. We use a lot of registers and pens; we aren't all that high-tech, to be honest. It works for us and the people who come by. Being near the cinema means there’s always some life around the corner, especially in the evenings. Most of our members live within walking distance or just a short cycle ride away. We’ve known some of these families for years. We don't do big advertisements or anything like that. Word of mouth is how most people find out about House No. 40. It’s a straightforward business. We keep track of who paid what and make sure the money goes where it’s supposed to go. It’s about keeping things moving and helping people manage their cash for things like weddings or fixing up their homes. It is just us here every day doing the work.
