Jai Maa Ambay Heavy Electrical Works

We have been at Plot No. 8/25 in Rajeev Colony for quite some time now. If you know the area at all, you know it is always busy, especially being so close to the Mark Shoes Company. Gali No. 1 is where you will find us tucked away. It is a typical workspace, mostly filled with heavy electrical gear and tools scattered around on the benches. Some days it feels like there is not enough room to move, but we manage somehow. People come in with motors or some piece of heavy equipment that just stopped working, and we take a look at it. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons during the summer, but we keep the fans going and just get on with the day’s tasks. There is usually some tea being shared around mid-morning among the staff. We do not have a fancy office or anything like that. It is just a place where things get fixed. The floor is usually a bit greasy and there is always the sound of someone hammering something or the hum of a machine being tested in the back. We see a lot of the same faces from around the colony. Sometimes the traffic near the shoe factory makes it hard for the bigger trucks to get in, but that is just how it is here. We do not try to be anything we are not. We just do the electrical work and wait for the next job.
