Raj Screen Arts

Raj Screen Arts is located at number 319 in Jawahar Colony. It is a pretty standard setup for a workshop in this part of town. We have screens leaning against the walls and the smell of ink is usually the first thing you notice when you walk inside. The lighting isn't the best, but we have some bright lamps over the work tables so we can see what we are doing. Jawahar Colony is a big residential and commercial mix, so there is always someone coming or going. We have been in this specific spot for quite a bit. The floor has some permanent stains from old projects, which is just part of the job. We don't have any fancy waiting area for visitors. Usually, people just stand by the door or sit on a plastic chair if one is free. We spend a lot of time cleaning screens and mixing colors to get them just right. It can be messy work, especially when the weather is humid and things don't dry as fast as they should. We have a small fan that runs all day to try and keep the air moving. It is just a local shop where we put in the hours and try to get things out the door on time. No one wears a uniform here; we just wear old clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. It is a simple life and we like being part of the colony and seeing familiar faces.
