Running a cinema in Faridabad City Sector-12 is a lot of work that most people do not see. Most folks just come for the movie and the popcorn, but we are here long before the first show starts for the day. I walk through the halls every morning to make sure everything is clean and ready. The carpets usually have some leftover popcorn from the night before that needs to be vacuumed up. Sector-12 is a busy area, so we get a lot of people on the weekends especially. I spend a lot of my time in the projection room or checking the sound levels in the different theaters. It is a bit dark and cool inside the building, which is a nice break from the Faridabad heat outside. The lobby gets very crowded between the show times, and you can hear the chatter of people talking about the films they just saw. We have a small staff and we all do a bit of everything, from selling tickets to helping people find their seats in the dark. The projectors make a humming sound that I have grown used to over the years. It is not like those giant malls you see now; it feels a bit more like a local place here. We just want the screens to work and the fans to stay cool for the people who come to watch a movie. It is a lot of long nights, but it is what we do.
