Over here at Npcc Ltd in Faridabad, we’ve got our office on Plot 67 and 68 in Sector 25. Being a PSU means there is usually a fair amount of procedure to follow, but we try to keep things as simple as we can on the ground. The office has a very lived-in feel to it. You’ll see stacks of files on the desks and people busy with their daily routines. It’s a busy spot in this part of Haryana, and the industrial surroundings mean there’s always a hum of activity outside. We don’t spend much time worrying about how the place looks to outsiders. Instead, we just focus on the tasks we’ve been given. The staff here is a mix of people who have been around for decades and some younger faces. We all know each other pretty well. The morning tea break is usually when we catch up on things. It’s not a high-pressure corporate suite; it’s more like a functional workspace where things actually happen. Dealing with the paperwork and the regulations takes up a lot of our time, but that’s just the nature of the job. We keep the fans running in the heat and keep the records straight. It’s a practical way to earn a living, and we’ve been doing it this way for a long time. We don't need fancy things to get through the work that is on the table each day.
