Our place is at House No. 858, which we call Sai Villa, over in Sector 7 C of Faridabad. It’s a residential area, so it feels more like a home than a stiff office. This is one of the spots for the National Council For Cement And Building Materials here in Haryana. Working out of a house means things are a bit more relaxed, but we still have plenty of work to do. We deal with all sorts of stuff related to cement and construction materials. The rooms are filled with desks and stacks of papers. Being in Sector 7 C is nice because it is relatively quiet compared to the main market areas. We have a small porch where we sometimes stand to get some air. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try not to make too much noise. Inside, it’s all business with the technical reports and testing data. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have visitors, but we make it work. The paint on the walls is a bit old, and the flooring is just standard tiles. We don’t really care about the looks as long as we can get the building material research done properly. It’s a simple life here, just going through the daily tasks of checking standards and making sure the records are updated. We like that it doesn't feel like a big, cold corporate building and we can just focus.
