National Art Engraver

Our workshop is on the Main Road in Mujessar, right opposite the Hanuman Ji Mandir. It’s easy to find because of the temple being right there. We do engraving work. It’s a lot of fine detail and sitting still for long periods of time which can be hard on the back. We use different tools depending on what we’re working on, whether it's brass, steel, or something else entirely. The shop is small and usually full of fine dust from the engraving process. We try to keep it clean, but it’s a constant battle when the machines are running. People bring us all sorts of things to put names or designs on. Sometimes it's sports awards and other times it's just a small piece for a factory machine. We like the location because there’s always people walking by and things to see. You can hear the temple bells in the morning and evening, which is a nice break from the noise of the tools. We have a few old workbenches that have been here since we first started out. There’s no big corporate structure here, just a few of us who know how to handle the tools properly. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the shop on the road. Most of our work comes from people just dropping in or others telling them about what we do. It’s a slow, careful kind of job. You can't rush engraving or you'll ruin the whole piece. We just focus on the lines.
