We are based in Garg Colony, which is a part of Ballabgarh in the Faridabad area. Our workplace is at house number 114, so it feels very integrated into the residential street. We spend our time making and managing locks for various needs. Because we are in a industrial-leaning area, there is always the sound of machinery or metal being moved around nearby. The office itself is quite plain, with just a few desks and a lot of samples of our products lying on the shelves. It gets very dusty on this street, so we are constantly cleaning the surfaces. The air is often thick with the heat of the northern Indian summer. Most of the people working here have been with the company for a long time and they know exactly how everything works. We don't have any big meetings or corporate presentations. Instead, we just stand around the main workbench and talk about what needs to be finished for the day. Our schedules are pretty fixed, starting early in the morning to avoid the worst of the midday sun. We take a break for tea in the afternoon, which is usually when we catch up on the local gossip from the colony. It is a simple, hardworking environment where we focus on the task at hand. The metal cabinets are full of keys and order forms, and we keep track of everything manually most of the time.
