Metal Decor

Out here on the Main Road in the DLF Industrial Area, you’ll find us at A 16/7. Metal Decor is the name on the sign, though the paint is starting to peel a little bit from the sun. We spend most of our time cutting and shaping metal. There’s always dust in the air and the sound of grinders going off. It gets hot in the summer, really hot, but we have a few big fans that help a little. We don’t do much fancy talking here. If someone comes in, we show them what we’re working on and that’s about it. Most of our tools have been around as long as I have. They work fine, so there’s no reason to change them. We handle a lot of different projects, some big and some just small bits and pieces for local folks. The floor is covered in scrap metal and shavings most of the time, until we sweep it all up on Saturday afternoons. It’s a busy spot because we’re right on the main road, so there’s always noise from the traffic outside too. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the city. We just want to finish the job we have in front of us. Some days are better than others, especially when a project comes together just right. It’s just us, some metal, and a lot of elbow grease. We’ve been here for years and hope to stay for many more if things keep going okay for the workshop.
