We are situated out on the Mathura road area in Faridabad. Lafarge Aggregate & Concrete India Pvt Ltd isn't some high-rise office building or a shiny storefront. It’s an industrial spot where we handle concrete and aggregate every single day. The air is usually thick with the smell of wet cement and the sound of heavy engines. We spend our time checking orders and making sure the supplies are moving along the way they should. Faridabad is a tough, hardworking town, and our place fits right in with that. There’s no point in dressing up the work we do. It is dirty, heavy, and pretty loud most of the time. My shirt usually has some grey concrete stains on it by noon. We deal with the logistics of getting material to construction sites all over the region. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes things a bit slow, but we manage. We have a small crew here and everyone knows what they are supposed to be doing. There isn't a lot of standing around. We just focus on the piles of stone and the mixing plants. It’s a practical way to make a living. We see a lot of the same drivers coming through every week. We might grab a quick tea when there’s a break, then it’s back to the yard. That’s just life at our branch here in the 121003 area.
