K And S Advertising is a small outfit based at 2m/59 in the N.I.T area. It’s not a big corporate agency with a glass front. It’s more of a local spot where we handle whatever advertising needs come our way. The N.I.T area has its own rhythm, usually pretty busy with local shoppers and small businesses. Our office is a bit cluttered with samples, old posters, and design drafts. We like it that way because it feels like work is actually happening. We don't have a lot of meetings about "branding" or "synergy." We just talk to the clients, figure out what they want on their sign or flyer, and then we make it. The building we’re in is pretty basic. It gets a bit hot in the summer, but we have a few fans going. Most of us have lived in this part of town for a long time. We know the local printers and the guys who put up the banners. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. Sometimes people just walk in off the street with an idea, and we sit down and sketch it out. It’s not always perfect, and things can get a bit hectic near deadlines, but we always manage. We’re just a local crew doing our best at 2m/59. We’ve seen this neighborhood change over the years, but we keep our door open for anyone who needs a simple banner or some local flyers.
