J. S. Engg. Works

You can find J. S. Engg. Works at House No. 1879F/3 in Jawahar Colony. We are right on Durga Mandir Road, so there is always a lot of foot traffic and people going to the temple. Our workshop is basically a big garage filled with metal scraps, lathes, and welding equipment. The bright blue flash of the welding torch is a common sight if you walk past our doors. It’s a noisy place with the sound of grinding metal and hammers hitting steel. We don’t have a fancy office; it’s just a small corner with a table and a couple of chairs where we talk to people about their projects. Most of the time, we are wearing our work overalls and safety glasses. The floor is covered in iron filings that we have to clean up every evening. We take on all sorts of metalwork, from small repairs to making gates or frames. It’s heavy work and can be quite tiring by the end of the day. The road outside is always busy with rickshaws and motorbikes, which makes it feel very alive. We’ve been in Jawahar Colony for a good while, and most of our neighbors know us by the sound of our machines. We don't do any advertising. People just see the work we do and come in to ask for help with their own stuff. It’s a honest way to make a living.
