Jain Consumer Store

Our shop is located in Gita Bhawan, right at the Gopi Colony Chowk in Old Faridabad. It is a busy area and we have been at this Shop Number 5 for quite some time. Dealing with customers all day keeps us on our feet. We sell the usual things people need for their kitchens and houses. Nothing too complicated. Most of the people who come here live nearby in the colony. They usually come in for small things like milk or sugar and end up chatting for a bit. The traffic at the chowk can be quite loud during the day, but you get used to it. Sometimes the stock arrives late from the distributors and we have to rearrange the whole back room. It can be a bit messy behind the counter sometimes. We just try to make sure we don't run out of the basics. Life in Faridabad is fast, but here in the shop, things have their own rhythm. We know which neighbor prefers which brand of tea. It's just a regular local store where we try to keep everything available. My brother helps me with the accounts in the evening. We don't have a big team or anything, just us making sure the shelves aren't empty. It is a practical way to earn a living and stay connected with the neighborhood.
